The Avencore Carbon Series USB-C Cables provide 40Gbps data transfer rate and up to 240W (48V/5A) charging for the most demanding Type-C devices, while also supporting up to 8K@60Hz video and audio to compatible USB Type-C displays. Perfect for power-hungry laptops, ultra-wide 5K monitors and lightning-fast data backups.
Using beefier coaxial conductors results in reliable operation on longer runs than tradditional tinned copper cores, allowing the Avencore Carbon Series USB4 to charge at top speed on all lengths in the range. This makes these cables a bit less flexible, but few others can match the performance. Data rates are also maintained, so what works over 1 metre works over 3 metres, too.
What's the difference between USB4 and Thunderbolt 4
The short answer is - not a lot. True Thunderbolt 4 cables have additional chips that support PCIe functions that allow daisy-chaining peripherals like dual monitors. USB4 40Gbps cables (like these) are Thunderbolt 4 compatible, but only work directly between the host device and one peripheral at a time.
USB4 Video Support
Many USB4 devices offer video and audio support when connecting to USB-C displays and hubs. Depending on your hardware, this cable can support up to 8K@60Hz and optionally HDR10 video and up to 8 channel audio. Utilizing the maximum DP Alt-Mode bandwith for extremely high resolutions may limit your USB data speeds. USB4 and DP Alt-Mode are not available simultaneously at maximum bandwidth as they must share the same conductors.
