Most of the time, our computer cables look a mess no matter what we do - so hiding them in a wall is really the only option! These two-up wall plates give you both an RJ45 socket AND a USB 2.0 socket in the one tidy place so you can hook up printers and computers between rooms without hassles. The RJ45 socket is rated for the latest Cat6 speeds, and the USB 2.0 is good for high speed data as well.

Both sides of the wall plate feature female sockets, meaning no fiddly soldering jobs or crimping tools are needed - just wire up with regular, pre-terminated Cat5e, Cat6 or USB 2.0 cables. Easy! There's plenty of room on the fascia for labels or colour codes to help you keep a track of what goes where.

Can be installed in both portrait and landscape orientations. Suitable for home and office use.

Features:

  • 5 Year Cable Chick Warranty!
  • Durable Gold Plated Terminals
  • Measures 124mm (W) x 80mm (H)
  • Includes wall plate, fascia and 2 screws
  • Features 1 x Female-to-Female RJ45 Coupler & 1 x USB 2.0 Female to Female Coupler

This improvement, made possible by the USB Type-C standard, means that USB chargers have also had to improve, but with those improvements comes more confusion.   [Read More]
Explained: Multi-Monitor Setups
Explained: Multi-Monitor Setups
Written on 26th June, 2024 by Cable Chick
These days, a single monitor setup almost feels like a punishment. The experience of constantly expanding and minimising windows to perform a simple task knowing how easy it would be with a second monitor is frankly archaic. So this must be what Marty McFly felt like in 1955. Now unless you're a masochist, it might be time to introduce your display to a friend or two and experience how much better things can be.   [Read More]

But as great as that is, there are times where this kind of set up isn't ideal. Sometimes, a more private and personal experience is required.   [Read More]
