Have you ever walked past a shop front or display stand and seen 4 separate TV's connected together to form one big picture? Ever wondered how they did that? Well probably with one of these!
If you're looking for an impactful way to advertise your business, give a presentation in front of an audience or simply blow away your customers, our 2x2 Video Wall Controller is the way to do it! For commercial applications in point of sale, retail advertising and digital billboard displays this device is sure to give you the 'wow' factor you've been searching for.
This device gives you the option of either a DVI or HDMI input however we recommend a 4K 30Hz input connection via HDMI for optimal image quality. The most attractive configuration will be 2x2 allowing for a single source to be evenly split across 4 displays however almost any configuration you can think of is possible. By pairing this controller with displays designed with ultra-thin bezels, you can create a single large display from 4 connected HDTVs in a matter of minutes.
The controller can also act as a basic HDMI splitter displaying the same image across all connected televisions. It comes with a long range remote control allowing quick access to the 2x2 configuration and the ability to scroll through all display orientations. Further functions include brightness control, 180 degree window rotation and the ability to freeze or black out the displays at the touch of a button. Perfect for use during a live performance or presentation!
Usage is simple; just turn the unit on, attach your source, then connect each TV in the order you'll use them. The best results are achieved with a 4K input split between 4 x 1080p displays, but more resolutions are compatible if you don't mind a loss in image quality from scaling/stretching and bear in mind the more screens utilized the lower resolution possible on each display. User configurable options are at a minimum here, with the benefits of plug-and-play operation offset by a lack of bezel adjustment.
Of note are the vertically stacked configurations, which require unusual custom resolutions to be configured on the source device. For example, a 2x1 vertical arrangement requires a custom resolution of 1920x2160. For a 3x1 vertical stack, a resolution of 1280x2160 is necessary. For a 4x1 vertical stack, a resolution of 960x2160 is required. These tall, narrow resolutions will give very poor image quality and are not recommended for text display. These resolutions are also not available by default under Windows or Mac, and you may require third-party software to define them depending on your system.
Note: This unit does not have the ability to independently flip outputs. Displays must be physically installed with the tops all facing the same direction. This unit is not suitable if you have a pre-existing video wall where one pair of TVs is upside-down (to minimise the bezel gap).
