Boost the number of Component AV inputs on your TV or Receiver!
Switch between up to three Component YPbPr + Stereo Audio AV source devices on a single input - multiply the number of Component AV inputs on any device!
With the digital age having the memory of a goldfish, analog inputs like Component Video and Stereo Audio are becoming less and less common, with new TVs and amplifiers sometimes only having a single set, if any. This becomes a problem when running older source devices like gaming consoles, DVD players and first-generation PayTV and Set-Top boxes. With this selector switch, you can multiply a single input to work with up to 3 component devices, and switch between them at the push of a button.
This Component Video switch offers three separate sets of analogue inputs, each including 3RCA Component Video plus 2RCA Stereo Audio. Each input can be paired up socket-for-socket to the output RCAs. This means that no signal conversion takes place, so please ensure your output device supports both audio formats if your source devices use a mixture of both.
The switch is a passive pass-through switching, meaning there's no power supply required and all signals are passed straight through without any conversion.
3 x Inputs:

Question:
Just wondering if I could run 5.1 audio only through the YPbPr plugs? I am after a switch that can take in multiple 5.1 audio unputs & output to 5.1?
Answer:
"Yes! You could definitely use this for audio. It can't tell if one RCA socket is passing video data or audio data - it just pushes the electrical signal from the selected input through to the output, and the same goes for digital, too.
So, if you have a 5.1 audio solution which uses all RCA plugs, this unit can be used as a 6RCA 4-way switch. Or, if you have Digital Coaxial SPDIF, you can use this for up to six groups of multi-channel audio, switched between four devices."

Question:
When you describe the RCA inputs and output as "composite", do you mean "component"?
Answer:
"Yes, absolutely. That looks like a copy-paste oversight. The switch is designed for use with YPbPr video and stereo or digital coaxial audio."
