While 'Cat6' may sound like the name of a swanky gentleman's club, it's really just a top-quality networking cable which is slowly replacing Cat5e in all applications. For now, you can benefit from the high industry standards controlling manufacturing (which result in lower signal loss and better performance) and later come to appreciate the tenfold increase in potential data rate over Cat5.
Being backwards compatible with Cat5 systems means you're safe to install it now and reap the rewards later - you can even mix-n-match Cat5 and Cat6 across your network for a long-term rollout which won't break the bank or cost any extended network downtime. Hi Cable Chick, Why do I not think that's your real name? Anyway, my latest order was delivered the next day, which is what I've come to expect from you. The 8 socket power board is very good: very robust construction, indicator lights and plenty of space to plug in carpet carbuncles without sacrificing an outlet. The Cat6 cable is now connecting my printer to the network: no problems there.
If you keep up with the low prices and the excellent customer service, I'm just going to have to keep coming back for my cabling and associated needs.
