Just the thing to connect your new TV to your old amp or headphones...
Avencore's Digital to Analog Audio Converter converts from either a SPDIF Optical TOSLINK or SPDIF Digital Coaxial source to 2RCA analog stereo outputs. A 2RCA stereo (male) to 3.5mm stereo (female) adapter cable is included to expand your connection options. PLEASE NOTE: Adapter only supports 3-pole TRS stereo headphones. For 4-pole TRRS headphone support please see AVC-C5812.
Does your TV or soundbar feature an optical audio output socket, but fails to include a simple headphone jack? Then this is the right converter for you. It takes 2-channel LPCM digital audio in either pptical (Toslink) or digital coaxial formats and converts it to regular old analog stereo for use with headphones, amplifiers and powered speaker systems.
It's the digital-to-analog audio converter you've been dreaming of!
Just plug this anonymous, compact little unit in, switch it on, and never worry about it again. And because it's powered, it can extend your cable runs with active signal repeating! It's the easiest way to get new and old audio components working together.
Note: Ensure your output audio is set to 2-Channel LPCM or PCM stereo, as this converter unit can't handle compressed Dolby or DTS multi-channel audio. Device does not include audio cables for connecting to your equipment.

Product Review by Pali,
I received my order in good time despite the Covid restrictions.
The product itself is working well, no complaints. Sound quality is great - clear highs and mids, punchy but natural bass.

Product Review by Steven,
There's a well-known saying, "you can't help bad luck", so after eight dutiful years of service, my Panasonic DVD recorder and television were taken out by a freak lightning strike to external antenna. However, as luck would have it, my AKG wireless headphones remained intact, so when upgrading my devices to certified 'Smart' status (Sony Bravia, I'm
looking at you), the missing link appeared to be TOSLINK; specifically, I needed a Digital to Analog Audio Converter in order to reap the benefits of current technology.
Cable Chick came to my rescue, and within 24 hours of placing the order I was suitably rewired and good to go. Excellent service; excellent product!

Product Review by John,
The digital/analogue sound converter worked a treat via the coax digital optical out on the TV. I could fit the sound bar and enjoy better audio. The order arrived within two days, sooner than I expected.
All told, Im extremely satisfied with the purchase and product performance. Ill certainly use Cable Chick in the future and recommend it fully.

Product Review by Kris,
Yes I have received the order. I actually received it a couple of days after I made the order and was very impressed not only with the shipping time, but the quality of the items I received were second to none.
Unfortunately the digital to analogue converter I purchased on ebay from a store in Sydney, was complete crap and a waste of $60 as it died a day after receiving it.
Not to worry, as I have since placed an order on your site for a new converter. Judging by the quality of the items I have already purchased from you, I am confident that your product will also be quality, and not explode in my face.

We all love the immersive experience of watching a movie from the comfort of our couch while an array of encircling speakers' envelope us within a wall of sound that transports us from our living rooms into the middle of the action taking place on screen. But as great as that is, there are times where this kind of set up isn't ideal. Sometimes, a more private and personal experience is required. [

Question:
Does the SW4002 DAC work with headphones that don't have built in volume controls? If not do you have something that will but at near the same price?
Regards
Jorge?
Answer:
"Yes, you can plug in basic headphones or earbuds, but the volume will not be adjustable, and may be a little quiet, depending on the source type and configuration. Unfortunately we don't have a converter that includes an amplifier at this time."

Question:
When the description says "it outputs both analogue signals simultaneously", is that referring to the RCA and headphones? Or does it mean it outputs L and R RCA simultaneously, and therefore each channel is the same? In effect, making the output MONO, or does it still split the RCA channels between left and right?
Answer:
"It outputs Stereo RCA AND Stereo 3.5mm simultaneously, so you can connect two separate stereo systems if needed."

Question:
Can I get one that does 5.1 surround sound?
Answer:
"Unfortunately not. Because surround-sound via SPDIF Optical is compressed using systems like Dolby Digital or DTS Surround Sound, only converters which specifically support these algorithms are capable of handling 5.1 audio. Due to their much higher costs and lower availability, we recommend customers invest in a new digital amplifier instead."

Question:
Does this unit come with a power supply and cable?
Answer:
"Yes. 5v Australian Mains Power supply included."

Question:
I want this for XboxOne sound - is lag a problem?
Answer:
"You shouldn't experience any audio lag when using this device to connect your Toslink equipped Xbox One to a Hi Fi featuring 2 RCA Left/Right Stereo inputs but it's best to use the shortest length cables possible to ensure the best quality of sound."
