I don't know about you but I really have trouble getting things straight. Be it hanging a TV on a wall or trying to work out why my cat tilts to the left when walking across my newly laid timber floor, I usually find myself having to re-measure and try again at least 3 times. Maybe it's because my right leg is slightly shorter than my left which results in me spending my days walking around in circles, or maybe it's because I never invested in a good laser level.
But why a laser level I hear you ask? Well sure, you can use a standard bubble level and deal with it constantly falling over or slipping off your TV bracket only to crash to the floor and crack into pieces. Or you could check out our new durable laser level and never have to deal with that mess again! Let me tell you about it!
Small enough to fit in the palm of your hand, this ultra handy little gadget should be in every tool kit in Australia. When the side slider is in the 'unlocked' position, the level is in self-leveling mode with up to 4 degrees of compensation. Any more than this and the cross hairs will flash to let you know it needs adjusting and will display solid lines when a level plane has been achieved. But what if you don't want a straight level line? What if you're mounting some picture frames alongside a stair case? No problem! Simply move the side slider to the 'locked' position and adjust to whatever angle is required for the job.
The bottom of the level features a 1/4" threaded mounting hole which allows you to attach a number of different clamps and holders from third party suppliers to attach to counter tops etc but the best application is to attach it to a standard camera tripod allowing for freedom of movement and adjustment.
But enough about the features, tell me about the laser! From our testing we can confirm that the laser cross hairs are super bright and super clear with a projection angle of 110 degrees Sure it might not be up to Doctor Evil's plan of attaching them to the heads of sharks for the purposes of world domination but for use at home or on a construction site you're going to wonder why you ever bothered with that old bubble level.
Finally, if those features weren't enough, this little tank of a level is dust-proof, water-proof and shock resistant for drops up to 4 feet (that's 1.2 metres for any millennials out there) so you can throw it in your tool kit and never worry about it not working first time, every time.
