I like this keyboard. I like this keyboard a lot. Why? Because I needed a keyboard for a VERY specific requirement, and this beautiful piece of kit delivered exceedingly well on all fronts! Read on further down for why this keyboard makes my life happier :-)
Furthermore, the keyboard is at a standard I could actually do some work on, send a bunch of emails and all those usual 'computery' things. Conectivity was responsive via the USB Dongle or Bluetooth.
And on with my story...
...so to continue on with my story, when I have free time I'm a pretty full on retro-gamer. How full on you ask? Well lets just say I have a Super-Gun arcade setup and a monitor setup just for TATE gaming! If that doesn't make much sense, basically TATE is when you have your screen rotated 90 degrees to play vertical shoot 'em up games as they were playing back in arcades, and a Super-Gun is a specialised device allowing you to run original arcade game PCBs on standard consumer displays. Because of this, I have a rotated (vertical) monitor connected to a laptop full of my vertical aspect games, and a normal (horizontal) monitor connected to another laptop with the rest of my games. My trouble was that I wanted one keyboard with a trackpad, so I had a single input device to control all my entire gaming set up.
Your use case may be very different however. You may have a main computer and a secondary system you like to jump back and forth between. You might manage a small array or servers and need to quickly jump between operating them. Perhaps you have an iPad whichh you use for typing emails while watching content on a home thetre PC... in any case, the use cases are endless, but very specific - so at least noy you know where to go for one keyboard that can do it all.
Strong build quality - slim design
There's a genuine heft to this keyboard. It never too plastic or flimsy, and solid enough for this price-point to ensure the keyboard sits planted on your desk or lap. The full-sized keyboard is also refreshing nice to type on. Finally the integrated rechargable battery (which charges via Micro-USB) is a godsend. I am over pulling out old remote controls and computer peripherals which have been unused for a few months, only to find the batteries have leaked and rendered the device useless. Seriously, I have lost more gear this way than any other form of product failure or damage. With so many USB chargers kicking around the home or office these days, running without the worry of batteries and just plugging in to charge every few months is a big win!
