We're seeing more and more requests for an adapter to connect your USB-C Cables to devices with only standard USB 2.0 or 3.0 sockets... and today the 'Cable Gods' have answered! (there's such a thing, I'm sure of it)
This adapter is stylish, yet durable. The black aluminium-alloy casing means this adapter will last the test of time, and look good while doing it! This little adapter proves the theory that as technology evolves, we simply need to 'adapt'! (oh yeah, somebody got out of the RIGHT side of the bed this morning!)
Use your existing USB Wall Chargers with a new USB-C Cable
That's right, now you don't have to go out an buy a new USB charger, just because your old charger doesn't have a USB-C port for your fancy new device. We love tech made simple :-)
Compatibility when adapting from USB Type-C to Type-A
It's important to keep in mind that there are certain features which ONLY USB Type-C connections can handle, like higher power charging and data rates of over 5Gbps + Video Output (via USB-C's Alternate Mode feature, which enables HDMI, DVI, VGA & DisplayPort output). However any time you are using an adapter to connect your USB-C devices to a legacy USB 2.0 or 3.0 port, please keep in mind that those Type-A USB ports were not designed to handle USB-C's advanced features.
For that reason, for video output, docking stations, or charging of USB Type-C specific devices like Ultrabooks or iPad Pros, you must be connected directly to a compatible USB Type-C socket on your computer.
