Step up your audio-visual experience with our 3m S-Video Cable, a premium solution for connecting a variety of devices with exceptional clarity and precision. This cable is a must-have for anyone seeking to maximize their visual and auditory experience with legacy analogue equipment, particularly for enthusiasts of retro gaming using CRT televisions or profesional monitors (PVMs).
This premium S-Video is constructed with a heavy gauge of copper wires, ensuring better signal transmission and providing you with a clearer, sharper image and more vibrant colors. The S-Video standard sits as a significant upgrade in picture quality over standard Composite Video (Yellow, Red & White RCA) connections), offering improved colour vibrancy and clarity closer to that of RGB signals.
The gold contacts on this cable aren't just for show; they play a crucial role in enhancing signal quality, ensuring that your picture and sound are transmitted without interference or loss of quality. This attention to detail makes it an ideal choice for applications where every detail matters.
Wrapped in a durable black PVC jacket, this cable is built to last. It's tough enough to withstand the rigors of regular plugging and unplugging while maintaining its integrity for consistent performance.
S-Video provides a good quality analog signal filling the gap between Composite Video & RGB Component Video cables. Probably still one of the most common used video connection interfaces, S-Video is frequently used for TVs, DVD players, TV-Out compatible computers and retro gaming consoles. You can't go wrong having a few good S-VHS leads hanging around!
This S-Video cable makes up part of our new range of AV cables we have sourced without the expensive retail packaging so we can offer amazing quality & value!

You may have heard the letters HDCP strung together in an unpronounceable word before. Maybe you've seen it written on the back of the box containing your shiny new audio visual device. Possibly you've not been able to get your shiny new AV device to work and have been told "oh that sounds like a HDCP issue" and you've nodded your head feigning your understanding only to walk away from the conversation more confused than before. These days, a single monitor setup almost feels like a punishment. The experience of constantly expanding and minimising windows to perform a simple task knowing how easy it would be with a second monitor is frankly archaic. So this must be what Marty McFly felt like in 1955. Now unless you're a masochist, it might be time to introduce your display to a friend or two and experience how much better things can be. [

Question:
Does S-Video carry audio signal too, or just video... Intended use .... Laptop PC --> Plasma TV to watch videos?
Answer:
"S-Video cables only carry a video signal. Many PC's and Laptops feature a Customer Break-out cable which has a similar looking connector to S-Video (only they usually have 5 or 6 pins).
Unfortunately these break-out cables which connect from the PC to various Audio & Video sockets, are often propietary in design and best sourced through the system manufacturer."
