Living in Australia certainly has a lot of perks, but the one thing we're often left behind on is electronics. Sometimes we have to wait months for a local release of the latest gadget or device, and sometimes we just don't get to see them at all! Thanks to the internet, though, you always have the option to import select tech from overseas; the only downside to that is you then have to worry about things like mains power adaptors, NTSC/PAL conversions and a slew of foreign connectors that don't want to play ball with your current AV setup.
What we have here then, is a clever little bi-directional signal converter which can take the European SCART standard and turn it into 3 x RCA plus S-Video, or back in the other direction at the flick of a switch. This means you'll never have a problem getting imported, specialty or just plain bizarre devices working with the rest of your home theatre equipment. Great for the original Foxtel and Foxtel iQ and other SCART-enabled devices; because it converts both to and from SCART!
