Thin and flexible yet without compromising performance!

Now you can enjoy all the benefits of an Ultra Thin HDMI Cable - at just 36 AWG - without any of the setbacks of an integrated active booster chipset! This HDMI v1.4a spec cable supports Full HD and Ultra HD 4k x 2k resolutions @ 30Hz, plus it's compatible with the latest generation of HDMI 2.0 enabled TV's and other devices entering the market.

Breaking with tradition

The general rule for standards-compliant HDMI cables is to wrap them in shielding, a thick PVC jacket and maybe some nylon braiding for good measure. But that makes them stiff, inflexible and sometimes restrictive to work with in tight spaces. Not so with our Ultra-thin 0.5m HDMI cable! Through precise engineering and carefully selected and processed materials, we've been able to produce a cable which will meet all of your HDMI requirements, up to 5m in length! So you can enjoy a pixel-perfect picture through a cable less than half the diameter of a regular one - with no boosters or chipsets.

Audio is similarly supported, with Dolby Digital TrueHD audio and other high-end uncompressed surround sound audio formats supported.

Product Review by Peter,
Start Quote I recently required a HDMI cable and was quoted $200 from a Harvey Norman store. I found Cable Chick online and started my own research. I rang the office to confirm some technical points and was very impressed with the honest advice. I purchased the same quality product as well as an Optic Fibre cable and had them delivered the following day for a total of $77. I live 2000 km’s from their office so this was great. I was extremely impressed and have already started looking into other cables etc that I need. I won’t buy from anywhere else now. Start Quote

Product Review by Rob,
Start Quote I recently purchased 2 x 10 metres lengths of high quality HDMI cabling (for internal wall routing in two terraces I am currently constructing in Sydney) from Cable Chick. Ordering on-line was made very simple, and their website made navigation - right from product enquiry through to finalising the purchase - a hassle free process. My order was delivered within the timeframe that was committed to, and in excellent condition. Thanks Cable Chick … for at least making one element of the building process really easy ! Start Quote

Understanding HDCP (High Bandwidth Digital Content Protection)
Written on 11th Sept, 2024 by Cable Chick
You may have heard the letters HDCP strung together in an unpronounceable word before. Maybe you've seen it written on the back of the box containing your shiny new audio visual device. Possibly you've not been able to get your shiny new AV device to work and have been told "oh that sounds like a HDCP issue" and you've nodded your head feigning your understanding only to walk away from the conversation more confused than before. Well let's clear things up and take a look at what exactly those four mysterious letters actually mean.   [Read More]

Explained: Multi-Monitor Setups
Written on 26th June, 2024 by Cable Chick
These days, a single monitor setup almost feels like a punishment. The experience of constantly expanding and minimising windows to perform a simple task knowing how easy it would be with a second monitor is frankly archaic. So this must be what Marty McFly felt like in 1955. Now unless you're a masochist, it might be time to introduce your display to a friend or two and experience how much better things can be.   [Read More]

Question: Hi, I found that there is a lip sync error when watching PVR. I connect my LCD and the PVR with HDMI. The audio arrives slightly later than video. Would this cable help?
Answer: "This is most likely not going to change by using a different HDMI cable, as the delayed Audio syncing is usually due to the time take for your LCD or PVR to process the incoming/outgoing signal."
